Pingyao, "la ciudad eterna"

Cuando hace unos años decidimos dar nuestro gran salto a Asia, China fue el país elegido. En esos momentos de elección no éramos conscientes de que viajaríamos a otro mundo. Aunque más aún cuando llegáramos a Pingyao.

Pingyao es una "ciudad" que se sale de cualquier viaje organizado por agencias. En cambio, es parada obligatoria de "viajeros mochileros". De camino entre Pekin y Xian se encuentra este maravilloso rincón del mundo. 

Se trata de la ciudad amurallada mejor conservada de China. Presenta una belleza exclusiva por sus farolillos rojos balanceándose contra muros de ladrillo gris, sus tiendas a pie de calle, su típica y sorprendente arquitectura, sus calles adoquinadas y polvorientas … Sin ninguna duda podemos decir que es un lugar mágico.Explorar las calles de Pingyao puede ser algo sorprendente y maravilloso, existen numerosos lugares que visitar, residencias, templos y monumentos. Aunque la joya de la ciudad es su muralla, la cual se construyó al principio de la dinastía Ming. Normalmente se llega en tren nocturno desde Pekin, unas 12- 13 horas de trayecto. Los alojamientos son abundantes y para todos los presupuestos. El nuestro, el Harmony Gueshouse, un sitio maravilloso para alojarse mientras descubres esta ciudad.  Igualmente, existen numerosos lugares para comer. Otro atractivo de Pingyao son los innumerables establecimientos de masajes que existen en sus calles, pero lo más llamativo … los precios!!!! por unos tres euros puedes disfrutar de una hora de masaje de pies. Un problema que se nos planteaba durante esta parada era todo lo que habíamos leído sobre los billetes de gran para salir de Pingyao, pues a veces podían estar agotados. Realmente lo que ocurre es que todos los alojamientos tienen comprados los billetes, lo que supone que salir por tu cuenta de allí, comprando el billete en la estación puede resultar casi imposible. Nosotros los compramos en nuestro alojamiento y aunque parezca una tontería la experiencia es única, nunca sabes si los tienes o no … jajaja … eso sí gracias a esto hicimos grandes amigos de aventuras!!!Si Pingyao es hermoso de día … la noche es espectacular, numerosos farolillos rojos invaden las calles creando de nuevo un lugar mágico. When a few years ago we decided to take our leap into Asia , China was the country chosen . Pingyao is a "city" that is out of any trip organized by agencies. On the other hand , is a must for " backpackers ". On the way between Beijing and Xian is this wonderful corner of the world .
It is the best preserved walled city of China. It has a unique beauty of its red lanterns swinging against gray brick walls , shops at street level , its typical and striking architecture , cobbled streets and dusty ... Without any doubt we can say that it is a magical place.
Explore the streets of Pingyao may be somewhat surprising and wonderful , there are numerous places to visit , residences, temples and monuments. Although the jewel of the city is its wall , which was built at the beginning of the Ming Dynasty.
Usually arrives overnight train from Beijing , about 12 to 13 hours away. Accommodations are plentiful and for all budgets . Ours Gueshouse Harmony , a wonderful place to stay while discovering this city. Similarly , there are numerous places to eat .
Another attraction of Pingyao are many massage establishments that exist in the streets , but the most striking ... the prices ! ! for about three euros you can enjoy an hour of foot massage.
One problem that arose during this stop us was everything we had read on airline out of Pingyao great , because sometimes they could be exhausted. Really what happens is that all accommodations have bought the tickets , which means that out on your own from there , buying the ticket at the station can be almost impossible . We bought our bed and although it may seem silly experience is unique , you never know whether or not ... lol ... yes thanks to this adventure became great friends !
If Pingyao is beautiful day ... the night is spectacular , numerous red lanterns fill the streets again creating a magical place.
