Cuento hopi

La Creación dijo:
—Quiero esconder algo de los humanos, que no puedan usarlo hasta que ellos estén listos para ello.
Es el saber que ellos pueden crear su propia realidad.
El águila dijo:
—Dámelo a mí, yo lo llevaré hasta la luna.
La Creación dijo:
—No, ellos irán ahi y lo encontrarán.
El Salmón dijo:
—Lo enterraré en el fondo del océano.
La Creación dijo:
—Ellos irán allá también.
El búfalo dijo:
—Yo lo enterraré en las grandes llanuras.
La Creación dijo:
—Ellos arrancarán la piel de la Tierra y lo encontrarán ahi.
La abuela que vive en el pecho de la Madre Tierra, que no tiene ojos físicos sino ojos espirituales, dijo:
—Ponlo dentro de ellos.
Y la Creación dijo:
—Está hecho.

The Creator said, “No. One day they will go there and find it.”

The salmon said,
“I will bury it on the bottom of the ocean.”
The Creator said, “No. They will go there, too.”

The buffalo said, “I will bury it on the Great Plains.”
The Creator said, “They will cut into the skin of the earth and find it even there.”

Grandmother who lives in the breast of Mother Earth,
and who has no physical eyes but sees with spiritual eyes, said: “Put it inside of them.”
And the Creator said, “It is done.”
