El Mercado de Motores cambia de sede | The vintage market "Mercado de Motores" changes its venue

Y si, la próxima cita que tengamos con el Mercado de Motores será en el Museo del Ferrocarril. Este mercadillo mezcla de moderno con vintage y hipster donde los haya, vuelve a toda máquina, tras una pausa veraniega con más moda, decoración, complementos, arte efímero, algún rincón para tomar un piscolabis y ¡muy buen ambiente!

En esta nueva sede podremos disfrutar de hacer compritas o una pausa para un buen brunch, paseando entre distintos tipos de locomotoras a vapor, eléctricas o diésel, de los siglos XIX y XX, procedentes de Inglaterra, Francia o de España, así como antiguos vagones-restaurante y de viajeros. Ahora tenemos una genial excusa para visitar este emplazamiento único por su carga histórica (fue inaugurado por Alfonso XII y Maria Cristina en 1879), todo un símbolo de la arquitectura industrial y que sirvió de modelo para las estaciones construidas en el S. XIX.

Cuándo: 14 y 15 de septiembre, de 11.00 a 22.00. A partir de ahora el Mercado va a ser cada segundo fin de semana de mes.

The vintage market called Mercado de Motores changes its venue

So it is, our next date with the Mercado de Motores (Motors Market) will be in another of Madrid´s relevant spots, The Madrid Railway Museum. This market, that mixes vintage with modern as much as hipster stuff and people, comes back fully loaded with fashion, deco articles, trendy accessories, ephemeral art, some corners to have a coffee and more, and very good milieu.

At this new venue we´ll be able to enjoy some shopping or having a nice brunch, while strolling through antique wagons and railway-related vehicles, coming from U.K., Germany, France or Spain, that show the historical evolution of this type of transport. Now we have a great excuse to visit this historical place (inaugurated in 1879 by the King Alfonso XII and his wife, Queen Maria Cristina), which is an icon of industrial architecture and a model for the 19th century main train stations.

Where: The Madrid Railway Museum, Pº de las Delicias, 61, Madrid. 

When: 14th and 15th of September, from 11.00 am to 10.00 pm. From now on, this market will take place each second weekend of the month.
