La seccion original del blog,continua...no, no la habia dejado, pero necesitaba recopilar alguna informacion esta autora, su proximo libro, va directo a mi wishlist, espero que os guste la entrevistay la conozcan un poco mas, y desde aqui darla las gracias a Gemma por contestar a mis preguntas.
En su vida anterior, Gemma trabajó en diversos puestos de trabajo, tales como una actriz de cine y televisión, una importadora de un oso de peluche, una administradora de tiendas por departamentos, una maestra de preescolar, un artista del tatuaje temporal, y un número 900 psicologa. Por suerte, vendió su primer libro, Spying in High Heels, en 2005, poniendo fin a su cadena de trabajo ecléctico.Desde entonces, Gemma ha sido el destinatario de numerosos premios, incluyendo el premio "El premio nacional de el lector" y tres nominaciones RITA. - Would you say if its possible that your books..will be publish in Spain?
I certainly hope so! I do have an agent working hard right now to
negotiate contracts with Spanish language publishers.
-I know that Deadly Cool is your next novel,would you tell us a small advance?
DEADLY COOL is a young adult novel that will be released through
Harper Teen in October of this year. It’s the first booking a new
series, so I’m really excited about this one. Here’s a quick blurb:
Hartley Grace Featherstone is having a very bad day. First she finds
out that her boyfriend is cheating on her with the president of the
Herbert Hoover High School Chastity Club. Then he's pegged as the #1
suspect in a murder. And if that weren't enough, now he's depending on
Hartley to clear his name. Seriously? Not cool. But as much as Hartley
wouldn't mind seeing him squirm, she knows he's innocent, and she's
the only one who can help him. Along with her best friend, Sam, and
the school's resident Bad Boy, Chase, Hartley starts investigating on
her own. But as the dead bodies begin to pile up, the mystery deepens,
the suspects multiply, and Hartley begins to fear that she may be the
killer's next victim.
-Would you say what are your immediate projects?
I’m currently just finishing up the 3rd book in my Hollywood Headlines
series, HOLLYWOOD CONFESIONS, which will be out in June. Here’s a
quick blurb:
Allie Quick has high aspirations - much higher than reporting on the
latest celebrity gossip for the L.A. Informer, Hollywood's most
notorious tabloid. But if she's going to join the ranks of the real
reporters, she's going to need a headline worthy story under her belt.
Which is just what she gets when the producer of the trashiest reality
shows on TV winds up murdered, and Allie convinces her editor, Felix

-About your books…
Which one do you have more fun when writing?
I have to say that I absolutely loved writing my first YA book, DEADLY
COOL. Channeling my inner teenager was a blast, and I loved the fast
pace of the young adult style. Plus, it’ she first one of my books
that my son (a tween himself) can read!
-What was the most painful?
The most painful was easily my second book, KILLER IN HIGH HEELS. I
had two close family members pass away while writing this book, which
made it extremely hard to be creative and funny. It was a real
struggle to get it finished, but in the end, I think it is ironically
one of my funniest books to date.
Which one did you feel most proud of?
I have a hard time picking one, but I know that I get the most reader
mail from the books in my High Heels Mysteries series. The idea that
so many people are enjoying those characters so much is really
awesome.
-When you start a book, do you have clear all the history or you have
an outline of what is going to happen?
I usually do write an outline first, so I have a general idea of where
the book is going. The basic plot, the characters, and the big
slam-bang-revealing-the-killer moment are all pretty solid in my head
as I start writing. The one thing I tend not to know for sure until
the end is who the killer will be. I have a lot of fun planting clues
that could point to any one of my suspects throughout the book, and
it’s often not until I get to the very end that decide who actually
done-it.
-What part of the creative process was more difficult to find :
characterization, documentation, dialogue, a beginning or the end?
I guess the hardest for me is usually the beginning. I’ve been known
to rewrite the first chapter as many as five times, trying to get just
the right combination of explanation and action.
-What is the sentence or paragraph that would you disllike delete, by
any requirement in the last minute, in any of your books?
I’ve been lucky in that I’ve had some really great editors. They’re
suggestions have always been great, and there really hasn’t been
anything that they’ve wanted to cut that I’ve disagreed with them
about. Boring, but true. My editors rock.
-I see in your bio: Has received a lots of awards for your literary
career in which, did you feel more proud or which is the award that do
you expected less to receive?
I’m thrilled to have been considered for each one of the awards my
books have received, but the one I think I’ve been most excited to be
nominated for is the Romance Writer’s of America RITA award. The RITA
is sort of like the Academy Award of the romance writing world, so it
is an incredible honor that I’ve been nominated for this one three
times.

- ¿Nos podrias decir si sus libros .. se publicarán en España?
Eso espero! Tengo un agente que trabaja bien duro ahora para
negociar contratos con los editores de lengua española.
-Sé que Deadly Cool su próxima novela, ¿nos puede dar un pequeño avance?
DEADLY COOL es una novela para jovenes adultos que se dará a conocer a través de
Harper Teen en octubre de este año. Es la primera reserva de una nueva
serie, así que estoy muy emocionada acerca de esto. He aquí una propaganda rápida:
Hartley Grace Featherstone está teniendo un día muy malo. En primer lugar se encuentra con
que su novio la engaña con la presidenta de la escuela de castidad de
Herbert Hoover High Club. Entonces es catalogada como el # 1

-Acerca de sus libros ...
¿Con cuál se divirtio mas escribiendo?
Tengo que decir que me encantó escribir mi primer libro de YA, DEADLY
COOL.Canalizar mi adolescente interior fue una ráfaga, y me gustó el rápido paso al estilo jóven adulto. Plus, it’ ' el primero de uno de mis libros
¡aquel mi hijo (a tween himself) puede leer!
-¿El que fue mas duro?
El mas duro fue fácil mi segundo libro, KILLER IN HIGH HELLS .Yo
tenía dos miembros de la familia que fallecieron al escribir este libro, que se me
hizo extremadamente difícil que fuese creativo y divertido. Fue una verdadera
lucha el terminarlo, pero al final, creo que es, irónicamente,
uno de mis libros más divertidos hasta la fecha.
¿De cuál te sientes más orgullosa?
Se me hace difícil elegir uno, pero sé que tengo la mayoría de los lectores en libros
electrónicos de la serie High Heels Mysteries. La idea de que
así muchas personas disfruten tanto de los personajes es realmente
impresionante.
-Cuando inicia un libro, ¿tienes clara toda la historia o haces
un borrador de lo que va a pasar?
Por lo general escribo un primer borrador, así que tengo una idea general de lo que en el libro
va a pasar. La trama básica, los personajes, y la gran
slam-bang momento en el cual revelo al asesino,estan siempre en mi mente
cuando me pongo a escribir. Lo único que tiendo a no saber con seguridad hasta
el fin es que quien sera el asesino. Tengo un montón de pistas donde siembro la diversion en el
que podría apuntar a cualquiera de mis sospechosos de todo el libro, y
no es a menudo hasta que llego a la parte final que decidire quién realmente
lo ha hecho.
-¿Qué parte del proceso creativo es más difícil de encontrar:
caracterización, la documentación, el diálogo, un principio o el final?
Creo que el más duro para mí, es por lo general el principio. He sido conocida por
volver a escribir el primer capítulo hasta cinco veces, tratando de conseguir apenas
la combinación adecuada de la explicación y la acción.
-¿Cuál es la frase o párrafo que le disgusto eliminar, por
cualquier requisito en el último minuto, en cualquiera de sus libros?
He tenido la suerte de tener editores realmente buenos.Sus sugerencias siempre han sido una gran satisfacción, y no ha habido nada de lo que hayan querido cortar de lo que he estado en desacuerdo con ellos . Aburrido, pero cierto. Mis redactores Rock¡¡
-Veo en su biografía: Que ha recibido una gran cantidad de premios por su carrera
carrera , ¿De cual se sintió más orgullosa o cual es el premio que menos
se esperaba recibir?
Estoy encantada de haber sido considerada para cada uno de los premios que mi
libros han recibido, pero el que yo creo que he estado muy emocionada al recibirlo
fue la nominacion para premio RITA por el mejor romance de America .RITA
es algo así como el Oscar del mundo escritor del romance, por lo que
es un honor increíble que haya sido nominada para este unas de tres
veces.
-Para los lectores que le gustaria conocer las noticias sobre sus libros .. ¿Tiene
