Estoy hecho un chaval / In the prime of life

Llevaba bastante tiempo sin darle al carboncillo, me he dedicado a probar todo tipo de técnicas diferentes y al final lo tenía un poco olvidado.. El carboncillo es una de mis técnicas favoritas porque, en definitiva, estás dibujando igual que nuestros abuelos en las cuevas, con una ramita quemada. Bueno, ellos además usaban tierras, sangre y luego se dedicaban a darle lanzazos al dibujo, pero eso es poco práctico de cara al seguro del hogar.

Este señor que vemos aquí me hizo gracia por la expresión de “estoy hecho un chaval” que se gasta, así que lo he pintado en la pared de la cueva para que los dioses le den larga y feliz vida.

I hadn’t used charcoal for a long time, because I’ve been trying other techniques and I had left the charcoal sticks on the bottom of the drawer… Charcoul is one of my favorite techniques because, in the end, you are drawing just the same way our grand-grand-…-grand parents used to do in their caves, with a charred twig. I mean, they used mud and blood too and afterwards they threw stones and spears at the drawing, but nowadays that’s kind of difficult to explain to the insurance company.

This man we see here has been chosen for the wall of the cave because of his “I am yaunger than ever” look. may the gods grant him a long, happy life.
