Lección 1: Construcción de la cabeza / Lesson 1: Construction of the head

Aquí está mi primer práctica de construcción del libro de Preston Blair. 6 dibujos del mismo modelo de perro. Una vez realizados superpuse mis dibujos a los originales, tal como lo pide John K. en su blog, para analizar las diferencias y así poder corregir las mismas en el futuro.
Todos los dibujos fueron hechos con portaminas azul de 2 mm. Las superposiciones y cambios de color fueron realizados con Photoshop.
Here you have my first construction practices from Preston Blair's book. 6 drawings from the same dog model. Once I finished I put my drawings on top of the original images, just as John K. asked on his blog, to analyze the differences and thus be able to correct them in the future.
All drawings were made with a 2mm. mechanical pen in blue color. Drawing overlapping and color changes where made using Photoshop.

Para hacer los dibujos no usé líneas paralelas para mantenerme dentro de las proporciones, sino que usé mi portaminas para medirlas y también para las inclinaciones. Por ejemplo, la nariz corresponde a una cabeza de alto y así con otras partes.
I didn't use parallel lines to keep myself whithin the proportions, but I used my mechanical pen to measure them and also to estimate how lines were tilted. For instance, the nose corresponds to the height of the head, and I did the same stuff with other parts.

El número 2 es el más exacto de todos. Como puede apreciarse en la superposición del original de Preston Blair y el mío, la zona de la cara es bastante exacta en su conjunto, mientras que la inclinación de la oreja, el ángulo de inclinación del cuello y el collar no encajan con el dibujo original.
Number 2 was the most accurate of my drawings. As you can see on the transparent drawing of mine on top of the original Preston Blair's drawing, the area around the head is quite accurate, but the tilt of the ear, the neck and the location of the collar don't fit in comparison to the original work.

Al igual que en el caso anterior, en esta serie de dibujos, el número 2 fue el más exacto, aunque en este caso las diferencias son mayores.
Like on the previous case, from this series of drawings, number 2 was the most accurate, although on this particular case, the differences were bigger.

Con estos ejercicios vi que los errores son el resultado de la inclinación de una estructura que contiene al resto. En el primer caso, la oreja estaba muy inclinada hacia la derecha y ello llevó a que el cuello y el collar estuvieran también más apartados de lo que correspondía.
En el último caso, la inclinación de la línea superior de la nariz produjo un corrimiento de toda su estructura. Más adelante seguiré con estos ejercicios para mejorar las proporciones.
With these exercises I saw that mistakes were the result of the tilting of a structure which contains the rest. On the first case, the ear was tilted too much towards the right side and that took the neck and the collar apart from their original positions.
On the last case, the tilt of the top line of the nose caused a shift of the whole structure. Soon I will keep on making these exercises so that I can improve the proportions.
