Mi primera animación (1998) /My first animation (1998)

Sigo rescatando algunas cosas que hice en el pasado y en esta oportunidad les muestro mi primera animación.
I keep rescuing some stuff I did in the past and on this opportunity I show you my first animation.

La hice en 1998, cuando tenía 17 años y se trata de una broma a un amigo. Un león lo persigue, lo atrapa y termina escupiéndolo porque no vale la pena comer. Al momento de su caída, unos pájaros que sobrevuelan el fondo de la escena aterrizan. Mis intenciones eran representar buitres que se preparan para ver si pueden obtener algo.
I did it in 1998 when I was 17 and it was a joke for a friend. There's this lion chasing him, then catches the guy, but then throws him away because he's not worth of eating. As he touches the ground, some birds which were gliding are now landing. My idea was to represent some vultures getting ready to get something.
La animación fue realizada sobre un talonario y para completarla me tomó unos 70 dibujos. El dibujo fue directo, sin puntas ni marcas de fondo. Usé un vidrio y una lámpara de escritorio para lograr la transparencia y me llevó cerca de 3 noches de duro trabajo.
This animation was made on a checkbook and it required 70 drawings. All drawings were straight on with no keys, no background marks. I used a glass and a desk lamp to get the transparency I needed and It took about 3 nights of hard work to get it done.
Cuando la parte principal estaba realizada agregué algunos detalles adicionales como una paloma que vuela sobre el león y proyecta su sombra en la parte trasera, polvo de los golpes en el suelo y pisadas.
When the main part was finished I added some additional details such as the dove flying on top of the lion and displaying its shadow on the rear part of the lion, then you have dust from the hits and steps on the ground.
Para la corrida del león me basé en la película de El Rey León. En aquellos momentos me había comprado el VHS de la película, la cual tuvo un gran impacto en mí. Básicamente fue la película a partir de la cual quedé convencido de que la animación era mi futuro.
In order to make the running movements of the lion I was based on. At that moment I had bought the VHS of The Lion King, which had a huge impact on me. Basically it was the film from which I was convinced that animation was my future.
