La Universidad de Edinburgh tiene super buenos programas y únicos online (ODL=online distance learning) y que son flexibles, ideal para quienes trabajamos en hospital. 
Les dejo los links de todas las universidades con programas de posgrado en Medicina desde MSc, MMedSci, MRes, MPhil, DPhil, PhD, y MD, etc. Como dato en gral. los programas de posgrados se dividen en postgraduate taught programmes y en research programmes (MRes, PhD, MD). En todos los programas de enseñanza (postgraduate taught degree) se debe de pagar por la maestría y el precio varía según la nacionalidad del candidato, para los no UK Citizen o los no europeos (EEA), puede ser muy costoso, pero tambien hay programas de beca, y muchas universidades tienen convenio con el CONACYT, como Glasgow, Edinburgh, Sheffield; por mencionar unos ejemplos. 
Para entrar a plaza de investigación (MRes, PhD, DPhil, MD) hay más competencia y esta es dura. Hay que tener previamente investigación en el CV si se quiere postular para estos programas. Normalmente hay becas o funding por parte del NHS, British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK, Wellcome Trust, etc.  
Personalmente creo que teniendo algún posgrado en UK podría abrir muchas puertas, principalmente para quienes planean hacer especialidad en UK. Pues definitivamente tener un MD o PhD, tener publicaciones, experiencia en investigación pesa en el CV a la hora de entrevistarse por un Specialty Training Post (ST3).
