¿No os parece que las tachuelas dan un toque especial a todas las tapicerías? Pues se utilizaban hace mucho tiempo para rematar los trabajos de tapicería. Cuando las técnicas de costura y remates fueron mejorando, y apareció la grapadora, dejaron de ser necesarias y cayeron en desuso, pero ahora vuelven a estar de moda y no hago más que verlas por todos lados. Lo irónico de ésto es que hemos hecho algunos trabajos de tapicería últimamente que hemos querido realzar con tachuelas y no os lo creeréis, ¡pero están en peligro de extinción! Nos ha costado mucho conseguirlas, así que ahora hacemos acopio de ellas....

Don´t you think nailheads give a total different look to any upholstery work? Nailheads were commonly used a while ago for upholstering finishings but when new sewing techniques and the stapling gun came arround, they were no longer stricly necesary and became obsolete. But nowadays are trendy again and we can find them almost anywhere in decoration. Although it´s very ironic that lately I needed to find some for a new project and couldn´t find any at all in any of my regular suppliers!!! Thus I think they are in danger of extintion so I´m stockpiling.....
